Iola City Brochure
This was the first client oriented project I have done. This was done with the city of Iola chamber of commerce board and fellow classmates in my page layout class. I was the head designer as I was the only one who had past experience with Indesign. The city wanted a working brochure to use for tourism. The colors I used came form a range of the photos and contrast really well by not over taking the brochure. As I said I worked on this with a few classmates I had and I was the lead designer on the project. They typed up all the information and I laid it out.
The target audience was tourist or college students coming to the city of Iola.
The skills I used were photo editing, Print and file prep and preflight, and page layout.
This is me relinking all the photo's used in the brochure because everything had be moved.
Drop The H Brewery Brochure
above is the brochure it is a trifold with the same folding concept of the first one.
This was for my final for my Print file prep course. The goal was to have something that folded and was a successfully printed and preflighted project. The subject for this project was the brewery I work at. I used photo's from their facebook page so I had to format them for print. Then I went on their website for all the information I didn't already know from working there. I incorporated the websites and business cards use of the H as a design element.
The target audience is anyone of the legal drinking age to have an insight to the brewery and what we are all about. This can also work for tourists coming to town looking for a nice place to eat and drink with a chill vibe intended.
The skills used in this were as follows: Page layout, photo editing, print and file preflight, use of a xerox printer, guillotine cutter, duplo folding machine, the knowledge of the right paper for a brochure and following of branding guidelines.
Above is a range of things I did to prepare this for print. I used a range of preflight techniques and methods of editing.
